// PROTOCOL · CONSUMER HEALTH DATA
Consumer health data.
This is the consumer health data privacy policy that Washington, Nevada and similar US state laws require. It sets out what health-related data Aegin collects, why, where it comes from, who receives it, and how to use your rights.
Who this applies to
This policy covers consumer health data, as Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada law and similar US state laws define it, that Aegin collects about the people those laws protect. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy.
What we collect and why
- HEALTH READINGS
- Sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart-rate variability, only if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect. Used to work out your willpower index and the context of a request to be let past a limit.
- INFERENCES
- What Aegin works out from how you use your devices, such as signs of compulsive use, your willpower index, and how heavy a given day has been. Used to decide and adjust the limits Aegin places on your device, to answer you through Aegin AI, and to produce your scores and reports.
- WHAT YOU TELL US
- Anything about your health you choose to write to Aegin AI, in a request, or in a note. Used to answer you and, where you allow it, to keep context between conversations.
Where it comes from
From you, from the devices you use Aegin on, and from Apple Health or Health Connect if you connect them.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, to give you a copy of it along with a list of everyone we have shared it with and how to contact them, and to delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by disconnecting Apple Health or Health Connect, or by deleting your account.
Write to support@aegin.live from the email on your account. We reply within forty-five days, and where the law allows we may take forty-five more, telling you why. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we will tell you the outcome within forty-five days. If we turn down the appeal, you can complain to your state’s attorney general.
